A modular prototype concept for cultivating bacteria and fungi in liquid media using plastic process boxes or other suitable containers. This approach allows the working volume and process arrangement to be adapted without relying on a conventional stirred-tank geometry.
The system can include media supply and circulation, aeration, temperature monitoring, sampling points and automated process sequences.
